“4 Steps to Learning” – Ron LeGrand

Learning is a process with steps that must be done in order or will lead to bad results or no results. The first step is ignorance. Well, that one’s easy to qualify for because everybody is ignorant about a subject until they start learning more, which then enters into awareness. The problem is that many people will try to go from ignorance to the implementation stage and avoid the awareness stage.

This can only lead to almost certain disaster, and on serious seminars in the school of hard knocks. Without awareness, one really has no idea what and how to implement. Without implementation, there will never be any automation or freedom within the business. Because the leader’s life will be spent putting out fires and dealing with minutia day in and day out and barely getting anywhere.

Ignorance is easy to overcome, especially in our society where education is so abundant. I can’t tell you how many people I’ve seen start in real estate and refused to get trained because they think they know how to do it. It never works out well. Even when they do succeed, years go by and painful mistakes occur, which eat into the wealth that could have been built if a little bit of awareness was implemented first.

On Planet Ron, we certainly provide the awareness starting with the Quick Start Real Estate School, for those who want to do single family houses. We also provide step three, which is the implementation. Which takes the load off of our clients, leaving them time to focus on their business and not get in the minutia trap.

Our virtual assistance calls the sellers and do a lot of the grunt work for our clients. PAT Live takes the inbound calls from buyers and sellers. If you think about it, there’s very little else that needs to be done other than generate leads and make the closing call and visit the house. Even generating leads is done by our Gold Club, and we have several automated outsource companies to handle the rest. It has never been easier to implement than it is today in my entire 40-year career.

Of course, the goal is to get to number four, which is automation. Automation will set you free, that means you have put a system in place, you’ve long since passed the awareness stage. Of course, that never stops because you’re becoming more aware every day.

The only real way to learn is to do, and that’s where your real training is going to come from. But your initial awareness stage is over, and now you’ve started the implementation stage, which is automatic if I train you. Because you’ll be implementing before you even arrive at the bootcamp.

So, along the way, my goal is to get you out of the way and get everything done for you. So, all you have to do is make decisions. When you can get to that point, your system is up and running, your income is coming in, and now you just have to look at the business from a 30,000-foot point of view.

You have arrived at what I would call, financial freedom, thus giving you the ability to do whatever it is you want in life and not just be tied into your business. If any one of these four steps are jumped, it’s almost certain failure. Going from ignorance to automation is almost impossible without loss of millions of dollars with the potential revenue. Most people will never survive the jump anyway. Do them in order. It’s simple, not very expensive, and it’s the best way to succeed.
