Good afternoon Jennifer,
I promised you at Implementation Boot Camp an update on my blog I set up at the YES day at the Summit, so here it is:
I do have a YouTube channel set up as well. You can either watch the videos on my blog or here. I made my videos on Animoto. I might kinda be an Animoto groupie now. (If websites can have groupies?) I am also using Animoto at work a lot lately. You can also see those videos here if you like.
And, I bought a cute logo for my blog off of Fiverr. Ok, I bought six. Cheapest shopping spree ever and I got several really good ones to pick from!
I’m Google first page for several phrases and even getting traffic from random places like Thailand, which is pretty cool.
There’s still so much I want to do…Get social medial icons linked into it, get my Amazon affiliate links connected to the supplies needed, get better lighting set up for photographing my projects, get Google AdSense plugin up and running on the back end, get my logo added to the website…The list goes on and on! But it’s started, and it’s fun, so I’m enjoying that for now! And, I have started the widget links for social media, got the Amazon affiliate account and read up some on using Google AdSense. So, I’m making progress.
I’m still not sure how all I might monetize on this, but for now I’m enjoying playing around with it, and once I see what people want to read about and make I think it will be easier to know what I could actually sell. (I mean, besides the affiliate links and the Etsy widgets I have linked to my page.)
So, thanks for those twenty minutes of pressure that made me take my foggy idea of “A blog could be fun,” and turn it into “I am going to write a blog about making stuff out of books. And, I am starting today.” It has been a lot of fun, and I’m looking forward to seeing where it goes.
Thanks again!
Go get ’em!!
Way to go.
Well played, young lady. Keep at it and you’ll figure a way to make money at it.

Oh by the way Elizabeth,
How many other deals have you done since this one? It would be interesting to find out what other deals you have so we can all learn from you experience and perhaps use that knowledge to help ourselves make us successful. Thank you and take care.
