Ron’s reporting in from his garden this week as he and his wife, Beverly, give you a tour of what they’re growing with their green thumbs. Unfortunately for Ron, he and Beverly have made a bet to see whose side of the garden will end up looking better and Ron’s side is looking pretty sorry! Hey Ron, After this years garden season is over for the corn and the garden is stripped, go over to the local poultry farm and get you some chicken manure. Spread it on the garden, leave it for a few days, then run your tiller thru it where it mixes with that dirt and sand you got down there. Put it around everything you got. Approximatly one ton should do it for what you have there. Here in Va we will spread three and a half tons to an acre of corn ground for farming field corn. If you put it around the flowers Be Careful! Water it down and stir it up then pour around the plants. You will have all the nitrogen, pot ash, minerals you will need! You will be able to grow rocks my friend!
